BEDA was founded 40 years ago in a small place near Duisburg located in the heart of the German steel industry called the "Ruhrgebiet". Lots of big steel plants were nearby using oxygen lancing equipment which was at that time simply made stuff manufactured in the workshops of the steel plants.

There were lots of leaking with this equipment and in consequence lots of accidents because of spontaneous ignition of oxygen.In consequence lots of workers were severely burnt (hands and faces).

BEDA as first company world-wide began professionally as manufacturer with the production of lance holders, safety devices and special valves for oxygen.
These new BEDA products were in comparison to the home made stuff "High-Tec products" offering good handling, perfect and high safety.

The steady contact with steel plants led to a steady improvement of the products covering in detail the requirements of the steel plant engineers.
With this background the young BEDA company was growing and growing creating patents and offering excellent After Sales Service to the customers.
